Teens Arrested for Robbery Near School
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - 3 teenagers are locked up after police say they robbed a woman at gunpoint in East Price Hill with her 8 year-old son in the car.
The incident happened on Monday, January 27 near Price and Hawthorne Avenues. Ginger Boiler says she was waiting for her children to get out of school when she heard a knock on the window.
There were three teenagers and when she saw a gun, she knew there was trouble.
"I turned and noticed a weapon and just threw my arms up and said 'Really, in front of my kid?' and he said yeah," Boiler told Local 12 reporter Brad Underwood.
Her 8 year-old son was playing with his ipod and the kids opened the door and went for him. She laid on the horn and the three teens ran off with her son's ipod.
She credits quick police work for catching the teens. She said they went into a building a Hawthorne Avenue that just happened to be behind the District 3 police station.
The three teens are currently being held at the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Youth Center until their next court appearance on Friday.
