State bracing for heavy ice storm

ATLANTA, Ga. (WKRC) -- There may be a little snow in the tri-state forecast but nothing compared to what Georgia is bracing for now.

The snow has already started to fall across the state but it's the heavy ice in the forecast over the next two days that is causing concern.  The National Weather Service says the ice totals could be significant and crippling.

This, just two weeks after a few inches of snow paralyzed Atlanta and embarrassed the state.  Georgia's governor has issued a state of emergency for 89 counties.
