Debate to Pit Creationism Against Evolution
PETERSBURG, Ky. (Angenette Levy) -- The founder of the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky faces off Tuesday night in a debate with Bill Nye the Science Guy over evolution.
It sold out in minutes and millions are expected to watch online HERE.
The Creation Museum teaches the story of the Bible and the history of the world according to those teachings. Tuesday night Creation Museum founder, Ken Ham, and Bill Nye the Science Guy will debate creationism.
It's expected to be a spirited debate since there isn't a lot of common ground between creationism and the theory of evolution. Creationists believe God created the world and it's about 6,000 years old. But others believe in evolution; that the world has evolved over billions of years.
The debate has piqued a lot of interest for believers on both sides. Dr. Gene Kritsky said, "I think that the idea that they're debating is somewhat disappointing in the sense that it does bring attention to the idea that creationism might be a valid and alternative explanation."
