Wrong-way driver crashes on I-71, gets away

EVANSTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police search for a wrong-way driver after a crash on I-71 early Monday morning.

A Norwood police officer says he spotted a vehicle speeding at 90 miles per hour on I-71 at 2 a.m. He followed the driver to the Smith Edwards exit. The driver got off the exit then immediately drove back on, heading south in the northbound lanes.

The driver crashed just south of the Dana Avenue overpass in Evanston. The driver ran off. People have not been able to track him down.
