Historic bridge collapses

STONELICK TWP., Ohio (WKRC) -- Four workers are on a historic covered bridge Tuesday when it suddenly collapses.

The bridge is on Stonelick Williams Corner Road.  It collapsed around 2:30p.m. as construction crews were working to rehabilitate the bridge.  There have been previous attempts by neighbors to save and restore the bridge.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation.

In a press release from the Board of County Commissioners in Clermont County we learned the workers that were on the bridge when it collapsed were not hurt.  No injuries were reported.

The bridge remains closed at this time.
