Girl Missing for Fifteen Years, Family Looks for Closure

KETTERING, Ohio (WKRC) -- A mother is remembering her child Thursday night.

15 years ago Friday a 9-year-old girl disappeared.  Erica Baker went for a walk with her dog and never came home.  For years, family and friends have spent countless days looking for her.  But they have yet to find her.

15 years later, her family is still looking for closure.

"Our knowledge of her demise is that she was thrown away as a piece of garbage, and she's not garbage.  She's not trash she's a little girl, a part of our family and we want to honor her by laying her to rest in the appropriate manner."

Christian Gabriel admitted to driving a van that hit and killed Baker.  He was convicted and sent to prison.  He even admitted to burying her, but he says he can't remember where.
