Four Dead in Family Shooting

DEFIANCE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Four people are dead after what police say was a triple murder-suicide.

Deputies in Northwest Ohio believe a 68-year-old grandfather shot and killed his wife, daughter, and his granddaughter before turning the gun on himself.  A family member discovered the bodies in a house in Defiance, Ohio, about 60 miles southwest of Toledo.

Officials identified the dead as 68-year-old Robert Garza, Sr., his 61-year-old wife, Christine Garza, 42-year-old daughter, Zoila Garza, and granddaughter, 15-year-old Rebecca Garza.

Investigators say Garza had health problems but they have not determined a motive.

"They're still processing the scene and hope to have our questions answered, not all will be answered.  They never are in a case like this, but get as much as we can."

"I don't remember four people dying at the same time in this manner in my career."

A handgun apparently used in the shooting was found at the scene.
