Proposal to Allow Senior Skip Days

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Ohio high school seniors could be exempt from making up snow days.

A proposal in the legislature would let seniors skip the make-up days if they are slated to occur after their scheduled graduation ceremonies.  The bill was introduced last week and only applies to the 2013-2014 school year.

Many school districts have used up the five days allowed for absences due to bad weather.  Governor Kasich has advocated adding extra calamity days on a one-time basis because of this year's bad weather.
