Union Twp. man admits choking roommate on 911 call

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- The man accused of murdering his roommate in their Union Township apartment, told the 911 dispatcher he did it.

According to the 911 call made by Phillip Hamm, he and Meagan Fambry were at a party earlier the evening of February 15 and they had a fight.  Hamm told the dispatcher they worked it out, but the argument started again when they returned home to their Savannah Drive apartment.

That's when Hamm says he choked Fambry, "Last night, or basically this morning, my roommate and I got into an argument and I honestly lost my mind and I went off and I choked her and killed her and it probably happened a few hours ago. Honestly, I don't know what happened to myself."

Police had not said before how Fambry was killed.

"I attacked her, I like choked her, I threw her down and was choking her," says Hamm during the call.

Hamm was arraigned Monday in a Clermont County courtroom. A judge set his bond at half a million dollars.
