Woman ordered into van at gunpoint

CINCINNATI (Jeff Hirsh) -- A 31-year-old South Fairmount man faces charges of abduction and aggravated robbery after he allegedly forced a college student into his van at gunpoint and robbed her before being captured.

Police say the 21-year-old woman was waiting for a bus in the 1800 block of Vine Street in Clifton Heights around 6:45 Friday morning, when a man in a blue van pointed a gun out the window and ordered her into the vehicle.  Police say the suspect, Aaron Glenn, then robbed the woman of a cell phone and a small amount of money before dropping her off a few blocks away.

The victim, a student at Beckfield College in Springdale, was able to get a good description of the vehicle, and got to another phone to call 9-1-1.
Police say the suspect's vehicle hit a telephone pole on Spring Grove Avenue in Camp Washington as he was trying to get away from police.  He then got out of the van, jumped a fence, but was caught by officers.

Court documents indicate Glenn has a criminal record including burglary and robbery, and served three years in state prison from 2008 through 2011.
The victim was not hurt.
