Driver arrested after hitting house, stealing truck of Samaritan in Butler County

ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- Butler County Sheriff's deputies have a 33-year-old man in custody after they say he hit a house with a car in St. Clair Township Friday morning, then led them on a chase.

Authorities say the driver flipped his vehicle and hit the house on Jacksonburg Road near 127 at about 4:30 a.m.

He and a passenger got out of the car and a good Samaritan stopped to see if they were okay. The suspect then stole the good Samaritan's pickup truck.

Deputies were able to stop the suspect after a chase where the suspect drove through the gate of Hamilton's power plant. The woman with the suspect was hurt and was taken to the hospital.

Deputies have not released the suspect's name or the charges he will face.
