Teen driver comes forward in Franklin hit-and-run accident

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WKRC) -- Franklin Police say a 17-year-old from Carlisle has come forward and confessed to hitting a 72-year-old man with his car, and taking off.

Police say the teen hit 72 year-old Gerald Retherford a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday, while he was crossing Fourth street near Franklin High School. The teen and his parents, came forward at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Retherferd was taken to the hospital. No word on his condition.

Police have not charged the teen yet.
