Man charged with making bomb threat

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) -- Police charge a local man they say called in a bomb threat at a tri-state school.

There's a warrant out for 20-year-old Tyler Swope of Bellevue but he hasn't been arrested yet.  Investigators say he made a threat to Highlands High School January 15th.
It followed a string of bogus 911 calls in the city.  Officers evacuated the high school for almost two hours that day.

Swope faces a felony, terroristic threatening, charge that could carry a five to ten year prison sentence.
He's a volunteer firefighter in Southgate.  His fire chief helped police crack the case.
