The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Clinton County through 7am Monday. Most in the Tri-State will receive 1" or less of total snowfall accumulation tonight, but accumulations 1" or slightly more are favored in Fayette, Union, Franklin, Butler, Warren, Highland, and Clinton Counties (especially the northernmost communities in each of these counties). Please use caution if traveling tonight.

Car hit by train in Richwood

RICHWOOD, Ky. (WKRC) -- A vehicle and train collided near the 11000 block of Old Lexington Pike in Richwood Sunday afternoon.

Melissa Hemingway, 44, of Williamstown, Kentucky drove her Buick Somerset half of a mile southbound on the tracks before being hit by an oncoming Norfolk Southern train.

The train was in full emergency brake mode when it collided with Hemingway, but it still pushed the car more than 200 yards.

Air care was called to the scene, but shortly sent away. The driver of the car was sent to UC Medical Center by Walton EMS with non life-threatening injuries.

She is expected to survive.
