Our Economy: Deadline to sign up for Obama health care plan looming; Red Lobster, Olive Garden seeing decline in profits

WASHINGTON (WKRC) -- The White House says it won't push back the March 31 deadline to sign up for coverage under President Obama's health care law, but if you already started an application, you may get some extra time to finish it.

Spokesman Jay Carney says the administration wants to make sure that people who are already in line can finish their enrollment.

Details haven't been finalized yet.

And two well-known restaurants are seeing fewer customers come through the door.

The company that owns both Olive Garden and Red Lobster sas quarterly profits are down.

Slower business is one reason why, but Red Lobster is dealing with another problem. Shrimp costs are up and that's causing a large cut in profits at the seafood restaurant.
