HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius talks health care

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A big push is underway to get those who are eligible, to sign up for healthcare, under the Affordable Care Act.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is stumping for it too.  She appeared in Cincinnati and Dayton Monday.

The secretary says Cincinnati State has an outreach program where the Cincinnati Health Department has people available to answer questions and help people sign up everyday. So does the winton hills medical and health center. "What I think is helpful is people on the ground, faith leaders, health care providers, elected officials, making sure that people know what their options are and what their rights are under the law."

March 31st is the hard deadline to sign up. There won't be open enrollment again until the end of the year, and you might have to pay a penalty.

Secretary Sebelius says the easiest way to get information is to go to Healthcare.gov  or call 1-800-318-2596.
