Mother's touching addition to gravesite will warm your heart
UNDATED (Derek Drake) -- This is the heartbreaking photo posted by Florida resident Ashlee Hammac.
Her newborn son tragically died just five days after birth due to a condition which doesn't allow enough oxygen to get to the brain.
Hammac planned to decorate her sons grave site with glass pebbles, but after she realized her older son, Tucker, needed a way to grieve as well.
Tucker, 3, traveled to the cemetery with his mom when visiting the newborn's grave site, and Hammac decided to make it a special experience for him as well.
So, she built a sandbox for Tucker to play with and to share special moments with the little brother he knew for too short a time.
She has also created a non-profit organization called "Pages to Memories" which aims to help spread the word about Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephlopathy, the condition which claimed her baby's life.
