Ohio State University cautioning students to protect themselves from mumps

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) -- As students return to class after break at the Ohio State University, officials are warning them to take precautions against the mumps.

21 cases of the disease have been linked to students and staffs at the school.

University and public health officials are doing their part to keep themselves and others healthy by sending out emails, hanging up posters and turning to social media.

Besides basic information on symptoms and treatment, the school is handing out "Get Well" bags to sick students.
