Ursuline Academy hosts 5K in honor of former student

BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) -- Athletes from across the tri-state gathered Sunday to remember a local high school student killed in a car crash.

Ursuline Academy kicked off its annual run for the Lions 5K Sunday morning.

This year's race pays tribute to Jordan Hoak. She was a junior at Ursuline who died in October 2013.

Hoak was on the cross country and track and field teams.

Hoak was killed in an automobile accident when she failed to yield and was struck by an oncoming car.
