Heroin operation shut down in northern Kentucky

FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) -- Police in northern Kentucky from several agencies say they've shut down one of the biggest heroin trafficking operations in the region.

Early Thursday, four people were arrested and heroin confiscated at a home in Elsmere, the Turfside motel in Florence, and an apartment in Lexington.

In all a total of two pounds of black tar heroin was seized.  The defendants are all facing up to 20 years in prison.
