CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- Here at the RC DURR YMCA in Burlington some ladies in a class say there are lots of reasons to exercise!
They are actually using Tuesday as 'Fit Tuesday' rather than Fat Tuesday! But we stopped out here to tell you more about new research.
The study has to do with hip osteoarthritis. Researchers in this study, which is in the Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, looked at those who completed a 12 week program of at least two exercise sessions weekly. At the end of that time they were 44 percent less likely to need a hip replacement within the six years they were followed after the study.
Now that may mean you are pushing a bit, even through pain, it can work wonders for keeping joints mobile.
