Cincinnati police tow cars for snow emergency

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Police have been taking the "no parking" during snow emergency signs seriously during this latest storm.

Cincinnati police towed cars on Ludlow Avenue in the Clifton Gaslight District overnight. The city does this so plows can get through and clear roads without hindrances.

One woman who lives in the area was shocked to see cars being removed. She said there was no warning. "We've been here pretty much all day and saw nothing about a snow emergency. I've seen some storm warnings but nothing about a snow emergency. When brought that to their attention, they said they've been told there was a snow emergency."

Cincinnati police say the snow emergency was issued just before five Sunday evening. Local 12 did report that information. The snow emergency is in effect until we receive notice that it has been lifted.
