Police learning more in shooting death of 14-year-old

WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (Deb Dixon) -- Two half-brothers now charged with the murder of a 14-year-old last Friday were out to avenge siblings according to police.

They say 20-year-old Miniko Hicks and 18-year-old Donyell Walker knew there was going to be a fight near Dohn Community School on McMillian Friday afternoon.  They knew because two siblings had been involved in a fight the day before and word was out it was going to continue into Friday.
They came to the corner of Essex Place and Taft with a gun according to charges.  After bullets flew, four young people were injured and 14-year-old Ja'Shawn Martin was dying from a bullet to the neck.

Martin's relatives say he was walking home from school and stopped to watch the fight, but investigators say Martin was in on it when he was killed.
Lt Colonel Dave Bailey said analysts are looking to see who is connected to whom.

"So we can figure out what other neighborhood it might spill over to in case others think they have to avenge what happened," Bailey tells us.
Lt Dave Johnston is the commander of Cincinnati Homicide.  He says as more people linked to the violence are interviewed there is the possibility of additional arrests.
Martin is the third 14-year-old murdered in Cincinnati in five months.
