Obama administration proposes new rules for students taking out loans

WASHINGTON (WKRC) -- The Obama administration is proposing new rules to protect students who take on debt to complete programs at for-profit colleges.

Schools would be held accountable for offering graduates training that would lead to jobs that would allow them to pay off their debt.

Those that don't comply would lose access to federal aid programs. Previous rules were thrown out by a federal judge.

The for-profit college lobby is expected to fight this move.
