Truck overturns and spills grain in Butler County

REILY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- A truck overturned in Reily Township Tuesday, spilling the grain it was hauling and injuring the driver.

The truck was traveling from Bath, Indiana to Cincinnati on Stillwell Beckett Road, when the driver crashed not too far from U.S. 27. The driver said another car caused him to go off the road. The truck also hit a utility pole, snapping it.

The truck was on its top at some point. The driver behind the grain truck stopped after the crash. He broke the truck's window to pull out the driver. That driver was taken to the hospital with what's believed to be a minor injury.

While most of the grain spilled in the grass, some did spill on the road. Crews are cleaning up the mess. Crews from Butler Rural Electric Cooperative have a pole ready to replace the snapped one, once the truck is towed away.
