Tri-state native who killed classmate trial delayed

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WKRC) -- The trial for a tri-state native who is accused of killing a fellow student at Purdue University has been delayed.

Cody Cousins was supposed to go on trial on April 22, but it's been rescheduled for October 6.

The defense says it needs more time to gather evidence.

Police say Ciousins, who graduated from Springboro High School, shot and stabbed Andrew Boldt inside the school's engineering building in January.

Cousins has plead not guilty.
