Investigators continue searching for clues in homicide of Fairfield woman

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A little more than a year after investigators found the remains of a woman who was missing for two years, they're back on the scene Saturday looking for more clues.

Katelyn Markham's remains were found in Franklin County, Indiana last April. The Fairfield woman went missing in August 2011.

A team from Texas Equu-Search is back at the spot she was found on Big Cedar Road. Law enforcement asked them to comb the area again to make sure they didn't miss anything the first time.

Markham's father Dave helped the team search.

"It's never easy, but it's something that I need to do, and I got a good team, a good support group, which helps," he says. "I wait for something everyday because there's really nothing. So, there's obviously hope."

Markham's death has been ruled a homicide, but investigators are not sure how she died. As of now, no one has been arrested.
