16-year-old murder victim identified
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police identify the 16-year-old victim of a deadly stabbing.
Family members found Zachary Logan in a pool of blood Monday night in the kitchen of their home on Blanche Avenue in Arlington Heights. An autopsy revealed Logan was stabbed in the chest. The Hamilton County Coroner told Local 12's Rich Jaffe the 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times.
Investigators believe someone targeted him, but they have not yet named any suspects. Local police and state investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation spent time at the small house on Blanche Avenue Tuesday looking for evidence and clues. Police are still trying to make sense of the senseless and trying to figure out how and why someone stabbed the 16-year-old boy multiple times.
Neighbor Chris Thompson lives right across the street from where Logan was murdered. He told Jaffe that Monday night about 10 o'clock, he heard and then saw something. Not thinking it was anything serious. A short time later, about 10:30p.m., the boy's family returned, found his body and called 911.
Neighbors say the teen had just come back after living with his father out west for around a year.
