Driver crashes into Florida church on Easter

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WKRC) -- A driver crashes into the sanctuary of a Florida church on Easter Sunday.
Police say about two dozen worshippers were hurt inside the Second Haitian Baptist Church in Fort Myers. Several of them suffered serious injuries.

The driver of a Lexus says her brakes failed as she entered the church's parking lot, and slammed into the building. Parishioners rushed into action, using vehicle jacks and brute force, to lift the car to get to the people trapped underneath.

Police say they're treating the crash as an unfortunate accident rather than a criminal act.
