Police investigating robberies near UC

CLIFTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police are investigating a robbery near UC that happened early Saturday morning.

UC police say two victims were confronted on Parker Street near Ohio Avenue in University Heights around 1:20 a.m.

The pair says a man with a handgun took cash from them. The suspect is described as a black man around 35-years-old, 5'11, 180 pounds and was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

Police are also investigating another robbery near the DAAP building on UC's campus on Martin Luther King Drive around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the victim was approached by a suspect armed with a knife. The suspect demanded money, but the victim refused and was cut on the hand.

He was able to get away without surrendering anything.

That suspect is described as a black man, about 40 to 50 years old, 5'8 to 5'10 and wearing a blue baseball cap and brown sweatshirt.
