Farm owner pleads not guilty to animal abuse charges

PENDLETON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) -- A man charged in the death of 49 horses appeared in a Pendleton County courtroom Tuesday.

Larry Browning pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of animal cruelty. 14 horses were rescued from his property He's also facing charges of not disposing of dead horses properly.

Animal control officers discovered the horses on Browning's farm during a complaint follow up earlier this month. Browning claims other people dumped the horses on his property. Neighbors don't think he would have intentionally harmed the animals.
