Health Alert: Free voice screenings and conference

CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- You can get free screenings and attend a free conference to learn more about "Your voice."

Wednesday is World Voice Day, and if you have noticed changes in your voice and you'd like more information or would like to ask some questions, you can participate in some free screenings.  The screenings are taking place in the Ear, Nose and Throat Department at the University of Cincinnati.

Appointment times run the next few days from 8 :30a.m. to 4:30p.m. and following that there is a special voice conference on Saturday, April 16th.  We stopped out to talk to Doctor Sid Khosla, he is one of the physicians here, who can tell us more about it.

Voice specialist, Dr. Khosla, said, "The conference is with the Cincinnati Opera at Music Hall and it's on a mind body approach to your voice.  So we are gonna talk about integrative medicine, and what things you can do to help your voice, because the voice and the body are completely together, they are connected.  How we feel reflects our voice, and visa versa."

Those screenings are the next couple of days so you need to call the number to make an appointment.  Or you can use that same number to register for the free conference.
