Work to begin on a section of I-275 Monday

CINCINNATI (Adam Clements) -- A four mile stretch of I-275 is getting a much needed facelift beginning Monday evening.

Crews will be restoring the road from the Colerain Avenue exit to I-74 for the next two years. The Ohio Department of Transportation says the work is much needed after regular wear and tear plus a really hard winter

Crews will work from 5 p.m until 7 a.m. ODOT says they'll try to keep as many lanes open as it can. "During the daytime, three lanes of traffic will be maintained. People will need to drive a little slower through the construction zone and be aware of their surroundings as they drive through," says Sharon Smigielski of ODOT.

Crews will resurface the ramps to Ronald Reagan Highway and Blue Rock Road. They'll also widen the median shoulders.
