Clough Pike construction closure is delayed

UPDATE: The Clermont County Transportation District says weather will postpone this project for several days. It's tentatively scheduled to begin Wednesday.

BATAVIA, Ohio (WKRC) -- The Clermont County Engineer's Office announced Friday that part of Clough Pike will be closed beginning Monday, April 7.

Traffic will be reduced to one-way westbound between Glen Este-Withamsville Road and Ivy Pointe Boulevard. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on Ivy Pointe to Aicholtz Road to Glen Este-Withamsville, returning back to Clough Pike.

The closure is expected to go on until August 1.

This work is the second phase of construction on Clough Pike. In 2013, improvements were made on Clough between Mt. Carmel Tobasco and Glen Este-Withamsville.

The construction is due to the Clough Pike Widening Project. The project will add a third travel lane between Mt. Carmel Tobasco and Glen Este-Withamsville. A center turn lane will also be added, as well as a sidewalk along the north side of the road. Upgrades will be made to nearby traffic signals, and drainage improvements will also be completed along the project corridor.
