Roky the police dog gets a vest of his own

DAYTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- An officer with the Dayton Kentucky Police Department will be better protected on the job thanks to a generous donation.

"Roky" is a 2.5-year-old German Shepard.  He is a drug detection dog and the next time he heads out in the field, he'll be wearing his own ballistic vest.
The Dayton Park Board donated 950 dollars so a nonprofit called "Vested Interest in K-9s" could get the vest for Roky.  He's been on the force for more than a year and is partnered with Patrolman Jim Black.
