Arrest warrant issued for former Ohio Deputy Treasurer
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- An arrest warrant is issued for a former Ohio Deputy Treasurer who pleaded guilty to federal charges in a kickback scheme.
The warrant, out for Amer Ahmad, comes after prosecutors received information he's violated terms of his release. He was released on bail pending sentencing.
Ahmad faces up to 15 years in prison for bribery and conspiracy. He lives in Chicago where he served as comptroller under Mayor Rahm Emanuel until he resigned in July.
