Former bank V.P. sentenced for robbery

CINCINNATI (Jeff Hirsh) -- A former bank vice-president is sentenced to three years in prison for robbing a bank. However, Scott Runge may not have to spend all that time in prison.

Runge pleaded guilty in March to robbing the Key Bank branch on Beechmont Avenue in Anderson Township. He showed a gun to the teller and demanded money in February. Surveillance video helped police track him down.

He had said in court that he lost his job as a vice-president at PNC Bank in December. He said he had a $200 a day cocaine habit.  During Tuesday's sentencing, Runge's attorney says his client hit absolute rock bottom.

Runge must serve six months of his sentence. After that, he may enter drug rehab. If he completes it and stays out of trouble, he will not have to serve the remainder of his sentence.
