Police still investigating house explosion

DAYTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Investigators are still piecing together what triggered a home explosion in Dayton, Ohio Monday morning.
The blast was so powerful it leveled one home and damaged or destroyed 47 others.  Thankfully no one was hurt.
Firefighters reported a strong odor of gas when they got to the scene.  The gas was on but no one's lived there for about a year.
One witness said, "All of a sudden I heard this big boom and it knocked all the flowers out of my window back there in the kitchen and it knocked me down against the sink."

Investigators say they're looking into suspicious activity around the home just before and soon after the explosion.
