Second suspect in Elmwood school copper theft identified
ELMWOOD PLACE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Elmwood Place Police say they've identified a second suspect in a copper theft at a school.
Elmwood Place Elementary had just replaced the copper for its air conditioner unit earlier this month after it was stolen back in March. On April 5 or 6, thieves stole it again. This time one of them was caught on camera. Joshua Bessey turned himself in.
Wednesday, police identified Terry Williamson as Bessey's accomplice. Williamson's last known address is Grove Avenue in Norwood. he's also known to hang out in the Carthage area.
It cost the school district $19,000 to replace the copper. Court papers say Williamson cashed in the copper at a recycling center.
