Lakota West Band Director steps down

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- The band director who led Lakota West's marching band in the Macy's Day Parade has agreed to resign.
The decision comes after an investigation into Greg Snyder.  The school district says Snyder has admitted to using his position as band director for personal gain.
The school says Snyder and his wife made money from a clinic he ran for 20 years that was never approved by the district.  He also used his position to get free and discounted band-related travel for him and his family, including this year's trip to New York City and the Rose Bowl in 2008.
Snyder has also admitted to taking free meals from band uniform vendors.  The board also says he never told the school that a student passed out after being ordered to run laps by a college student Snyder hired to coach the band.
Greg Snyder's last day has not yet been determined.
