Body found in Ohio River

SEDAMSVILLE, Ohio (Angela Ingram) -- Crews are in Sedamsville Tuesday afternoon recovering a body discovered in the Ohio River.

Firefighters received a call around 2:15p.m.  People working on a boat spotted the body and called 911.  Firefighters put a rescue boat into the water around 3, the body was wedged between a yacht and the dock.  Crews were able to free the body just before 4p.m.

Cincinnati Homicide Investigators say the body appears to be that of a white male.  At this point they are not certain that is their estimation based on how long they judge the body to have been in the water.

Even though homicide detectives are on the scene it doesn't mean this incident is a homicide.  That is standard operating procedure anytime there is a suspicious death and a body being found in a river classifies as suspicious.
