Rescue crews continue search for man who fell into river

HOOVEN, Ohio (WKRC) -- Rescue workers continue the search for the 70-year old man who is believed to have drowned after falling into the Great Miami River Friday afternoon.'

The man fell into the water from the bridge that carries I-74 over the river. Rescue crews dealt with fast moving water that was three feet above flood stage as they searched for him.

A helicopter aided in the search and the pilot spotted him clinging to a log as he was swept down river. The pilot stayed with him for 30 minutes before the man slipped under water.

Boats will return to the river Sunday, and if the man isn't found divers will go into the river to try and recover his body.
