Mudslide in Carroll County destroys home, shuts down part of KY 36

CARROLLTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- A vacant house was destroyed in a mudslide in Carroll County Friday morning.

Another house in the area is considered threatened by the slide, but it is not in immediate danger. It has also been evacuated as a precaution.

There is another house on op of hill that could be destroyed if the hill slides completely. The hill is about 250 feet high.

As of right now KY 36 is closed. There is no word on when it will be cleared and deemed safe from further sliding.
