Developer plans lofts in Peters Cartridge Co.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- Two men with a history of turning old, run-down buildings into thriving properties are at it again.

This time with one of the tri-state's oldest, most historic abandoned buildings.  The Peters Cartridge Factory near Kings Mills was built in 1860.  It made bullets and cannonballs for the Union army during the Civil War.  It's been vacant since the 50's.

But two developers who rehabbed the former American Can Company in Northside and Ford Factory in Walnut Hills want to turn it into apartments.  It's a long-term plan but the township has already OK'd a zone change from industrial to residential.
