Crews Respond to Train Derailment

UPDATE: According to fire crews on scene the two mile long train has multiple cars that derailed.

The train was carrying car parts and possible a few cars.

No crew members on the train were injured.

What caused the derailment is still unknown. Crews are still cleaning up the accident.

The fire chief says there are no environmental concerns.

CINCINNATI (David Minium) -  Emergency crews have responded to a train derailment just after 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

The train derailed for unknown reasons in the area of the 10,000 block of Brower Road in Miami Township.

According to Hamilton County Dispatchers no evacuation orders have been issued for the area and it does not appear that the train was not hauling any hazardous materials.

Local 12 News has a crew on the way and will bring you any new information as soon as it becomes available.
