Benefit held in memory of twins who drowned

AURORA, Ind. (WKRC) -- Community members organized a benefit Sunday for twin girls who drowned.

Jocelyn and Shaylyn Spurlock were found in a neighbor's pool in April.

They were two-years-old and affectionately known as the "tornado twins".

The community turned out this afternoon at the Manchester Fire Department. Money being raised is going toward a headstone to mark the girls' grave.

Benefit organizers also say park benches might be built, and a flag pole might be put up in memory of the girls.

Sunday's event included food and drinks, live music, kids activities, raffles, auction items and split-the-pot.
