School massacre averted, teen had weapons and plan of attack

WASECA, Minn. (WKRC) -- Authorities in Minnesota believe they've thwarted a school massacre.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a storage unit in Waseca that was filled with bomb making materials.  Waseca is just south of Minneapolis.
They say John David Ladue had an elaborate plan to murder as many of his classmates at his high school as possible.  And he had the firepower to carry it out.  School officials are shocked.

Prosecutors say Ladue is cooperating with them.  His plan included killing his father, mother and sister.  He also had a plan to set fires to draw out first responders.
