Taste of Cincinnati kicks off downtown

CINCINNATI (Angenette Levy) -- Thousands of people flood the streets of downtown Cincinnati for one big buffet.

The 36th annual Taste of Cincinnati kicked off Saturday, and there's something for everyone at the festival. 40 restaurants have set up tents.

It's a Memorial Day tradition in the tri-state. There are a lot of people who come down to the festival every year with friends and family.

One woman, Dolly Pierce, from Boston is at the Taste of Cincinnati for the first time, and she's loving what the festival has to offer.

"This is impressive. I like it. I've hit almost every tent so they're doing OK," she laughs.

"I woke up this morning, and I thought 'where am I going to eat? Oh the Taste is happening? I'm going to come downtown'," says Mike Prevey.

"It's just kind of a fun crowd. It's fun to taste all of the different stuff," says Dave Ibaniez.

The Taste goes on until midnight Saturday and Sunday. It also runs from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday.
