Suspect in Erlanger hit-skip turned himself in to police

ERLANGER, Ky. (WKRC) -- The man believed to be responsible for hitting and killing a pedestrian in Erlanger has turned himself in to police custody.

38-year-old Lonnie Turner is being held on a $250,000 bond on a charge of manslaughter. He will be arraigned at 8:30 Monday morning.

An arrest warrant was issued for Turner Sunday. A witness came forward to identify him.

Lauren Pettit's body was found by a Duke Energy crew Saturday morning in a grassy area along the side of Crescent Springs Pike between I-71 and I-275.

Police say alcohol or drugs may have been a factor.
