Strong message in funeral home billboard

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) -- A funeral home director puts up a billboard letting people know he doesn't need their business.
There is an important message behind this unusual ad.  Marlan Gary says he's buried too many people who have lost their lives to violence and drugs.  He runs a funeral home in a Columbus neighborhood.
Gary paid for a billboard that says, "Put down the guns... Stop doing drugs...Don't drink and drive...   We don't want your business that bad!"
Gary says he put up the billboard in an area near two cemeteries where many victims of crime who have lived in the neighborhood are buried.

"It's not for me.  Being a father and sometimes looking in the casket and imagining my own child and that could be my child one day," he said.

Gary says he's gotten many phone calls thanking him for putting up that message of nonviolence.
